Amendment of the Medicines Act 1968N.I.
13. In the Medicines Act 1968()—
(a)in section 69(1ZA)() (general provisions), at the end insert—
“or a person registered in the register of visiting pharmaceutical chemists from a relevant European State maintained under Article 9 of the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976().”;
(b)in section 71() (bodies corporate), at the end of subsection (3)() insert—
“or a person registered in the register of visiting pharmaceutical chemists from a relevant European State maintained under Article 9 of the Pharmacy (Northern Ireland) Order 1976.”;
(c)in section 132 (general interpretation provisions), in subsection (1), in the definition of “pharmacist”() , after “Northern Ireland”, where it appears for the second time, insert—
“or the register of visiting pharmaceutical chemists from a relevant European State”.
