The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 21(1) of the Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 2008(1).
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Pensions (2008 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2008.
(2) In this Order “the Act” means the Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
2. The day appointed for the coming into operation of—
(a)section 15 of the Act (removal of Department’s role in approving actuarial guidance);
(b)Schedule 5 to the Act (amendments relating to the removal of Department’s role in approving actuarial guidance), and
(c)Part 8 of Schedule 6 to the Act (repeals relating to the removal of Department’s role in approving actuarial guidance),
is 29th February 2008.
