Regulation 3(2)
1. In the case of a plastic material or article manufactured or imported into the European Community before 1st March 2006, the material or article in question meets the required standard if it meets the required standard as it was immediately before the implementation in Northern Ireland on 18th March 2005 of Commission Directive 2004/19/EC(1).N.I.

2. In the case of a plastic material or article (other than one mentioned in paragraph 1) manufactured or imported into the European Community before 19th November 2007, the material or article in question meets the required standard if it meets the required standard as it was immediately before the implementation in Northern Ireland on 19th November 2006 of Commission Directive 2005/79/EC(2).N.I.

3. In the case of —N.I.
(a)a plastic material or article that does not comply with the restrictions and specifications for phthalates under Ref. Nos 74560, 74640, 74880, 75100 or 75105 in Annex III, or
(b)a lid containing a gasket that does not comply with the restrictions and specifications for Ref. No. 36640 (azodicarbonamide) in Annex III
(other than one mentioned in paragraphs 1 or 2) and which was manufactured or imported into the European Community before 1st July 2008, the material or article in question meets the required standard if it meets the required standard as it was immediately before the implementation in Northern Ireland on 5th May 2008 of Commission Directive 2007/19/EC(3).

4. In the case of a plastic material or article (other than one mentioned in paragraphs 1, 2 or 3) manufactured or imported into the European Community before 1st May 2009, the material or article in question meets the required standard if it meets the required standard as it was immediately before the implementation in Northern Ireland on 5th May 2008 of Commission Directive 2007/19/EC.N.I.

5. In the case of a plastic material or article (other than one mentioned in paragraphs 1, 2, 3 or 4) manufactured or imported into the European Community before 7th March 2010, the material or article in question meets the required standard if it meets the required standard as it was immediately before the implementation in Northern Ireland on 13th March 2009 of Commission Directive 2008/39/EC(4).N.I.
