This Order brings into operation certain provisions of the Work and Families (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 (S.I. 2006/1947 (N.I. 16)) (“the 2006 Order”).Those provisions which concern powers to make regulations governing additional paternity leave and pay come into operation on 9th September 2010.Other provisions concerning additional paternity leave and pay come into operation on 1st October 2010.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into operation certain provisions of the Work and Families (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 (S.I. 2006/1947 (N.I. 16)) (“the 2006 Order”).
Those provisions which concern powers to make regulations governing additional paternity leave and pay come into operation on 9th September 2010.
Other provisions concerning additional paternity leave and pay come into operation on 1st October 2010.
By virtue of Article 1(2) of the 2006 Order, Articles 1 and 2 of that Order came into operation on 26th July 2006. Certain other provisions of the 2006 Order were brought into operation by an earlier Commencement Order (as noted below).
