Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Official Statistics Order (Northern Ireland) 2012 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2012.
Interpretation
2. The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(1) shall apply to this Order as it applies to an Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
Official Statistics - wholly Northern Ireland devolved official statistics
3. To the extent that they are not otherwise official statistics by virtue of section 6 (1)(a) of the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007, the wholly Northern Ireland devolved statistics(2) produced, or to be produced, by the persons listed in the Schedule to this Order are specified as official statistics for the purposes of section 6 (1)(b) of that Act.
