The Licensing (Register of Licences) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012

Coming into operation

The Department for Social Development makes the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by Article 34(1) of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 19961 and now vested in it2.

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Licensing (Register of Licences) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 and shall come into operation on 1st May 2012.

Amendment of the Licensing (Register of Licences) Regulations2

In column 4 of the Schedule to The Licensing (Register of Licences) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 19973 insert—

any conviction of any offence under this Order, any penalty points endorsed on the licence or any suspension in consequence of the conviction and the result of any appeal.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Licensing (Register of Licences) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997 so that particulars of any conviction for any offence under the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996, and of any penalty points endorsed on a licence or any suspension order and the result of any appeal are recorded in the register of licences.
