The Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 198768 are amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3).

In regulation 2(1) (interpretation)69 after the definition of “State Pension Credit Regulations” insert—
“universal credit” means universal credit under Part 2 of the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015;

In regulation 16A(2) (date of entitlement under an award of state pension credit for the purpose of payability and effective date of change of rate)70—
a
in sub-paragraph (a) after “income support,” insert “universal credit,”; and
b
in sub-paragraph (b) after income-based jobseeker’s allowance” insert “or universal credit”.
