EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Police Service of Northern Ireland and Police Service of Northern Ireland Reserve (Injury Benefit) Regulations 2006 to insert a reference to the employment and support allowance paid under section 1(2)(a) and 1B of the Welfare Reform Act (Northern Ireland) 2007. This means that the amount of injury benefit pension received by a person who is also in receipt of employment and support allowance must be reduced by the amount of that employment and support allowance.
