A person guilty of an offence under article 8(1) to (10) and article 16(1), or under an equivalent provision, is liable—
a
on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding £50,000;
b
on conviction on indictment, to a fine.
2
A person guilty of an offence under article 8(11) is liable—
a
on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to both;
b
on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to a fine or to both.
