ROAD TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES
These Regulations amend the Public Service Vehicles Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1985 (“the 1985 Regulations”) to give effect to the requirements of Directive 2014/45/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3rd April 2014 on the periodic roadworthiness tests for motor vehicles and their trailer.

The Department for Infrastructure1 makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 66(1) and 218(1) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 19812 and now vested in it3.
