4A.—(1) A person shall not, without reasonable excuse, enter or remain within a relevant place without wearing a face covering.
(2) Paragraph (1) does not require the wearing of a face covering—
(a)by a child who is under the age of 13;
(b)by a person responsible for a relevant place or an employee of that person acting in the course of their employment [F2where there is a partition between the person or employee and members of the public];
(c)by any other person providing services in the relevant place under arrangements made with a person responsible for a relevant place [F3where there is a partition between the person providing services and members of the public];
[F4(ca)by a person mentioned in paragraph (b) or (c) in a part of the relevant place that is not accessible to members of the public and where a distance of at least two metres can be maintained between persons in that part of the relevant place;]
(d)by a constable acting in the course of their duty;
(e)by an emergency responder (other than a constable) acting in their capacity as an emergency responder.
[F5(f)by a person who is a visitor to, and seated in, a premises prescribed at [F6paragraph 2] of the Schedule.]
[F7(g)by a person leading a service in a place of worship or a place where beliefs are practised;
(h)by a couple at a ceremony to solemnise their marriage or to form their civil partnership;
(i)by a person performing physical exercise in a gym, leisure centre or similar venue.]
(3) A person shall temporarily remove a face covering when requested to do so for identification purposes by a relevant person, a person responsible for a relevant place or an employee of that person acting in the course of their employment.]
