2.—(1) The Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020(1) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 2 (Interpretation), for paragraph (4) substitute—
“(4) For the purposes of these Regulations, a person (“P”) is not treated as arriving in, departing from or transiting through a country or territory if, at all times whilst in that country or territory—
(a)P remains on a conveyance and no other passenger is permitted to be taken on board, or
(b)P is kept separated from passengers who did not arrive on the same conveyance.”.
(3) In regulation 4 (Requirement to self-isolate) —
(a)for sub-paragraph (j) of paragraph (9) substitute—
“(j)to take exercise alone or with members of P’s household, or”.
(4) In regulation 11 (Review of need for restrictions), for the words “every 21 days” substitute “every 28 days” and for the words “by 29 June 2020” substitute “by 7 September 2020”.
(5) For Schedule 3 (Exempt countries and Territories), substitute Schedule 3 as set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.
(6) In Schedule 4 (Specified competitions)—
(a)insert the following entries at the appropriate place in alphabetical order—
“Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Golf Tournament (European Tour)”;
“The Northern Ireland Golf Open Tournament (European Challenge Tour supported by the R&A”; and
(b)Omit “European Tour Golf - The Irish Challenge”.
(7) In relation to any person who arrived in Northern Ireland on or after 10th July 2020 and before the coming into operation of any amendment made by these Regulations the principal Regulations apply as if that amendment had not been made.
