2.—(1) The Horses (Free Access to Competitions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1992(1) are amended as follows—
(2) In regulation 3(2) for “The Regulations” substitute “Regulations 4 and 5”.
(3) After regulation 5, insert—
6. For each competition or type of competition listed in regulation 3(2), the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs may reserve, through bodies recognised by that Department for that purpose, a certain percentage (not exceeding 20%) of the prize money or profits for the safeguard, development and improvement of breeding.”.
