Interpretation

2.  In these Regulations—

“common travel area” has the meaning given in section 1(3) of the Immigration Act 1971(1);

“the principal Regulations” means the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020(2).

Section 1(3) provides that the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland are collectively referred to in that Act as “the common travel area”
