Amendment of the Housing Benefit Regulations

2.—(1) The Housing Benefit Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006(1) are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 2(1) (interpretation) in the definition of “young individual”(2)—

(a) in paragraphs (b) and (c) for “22 years” substitute “25 years”;

(b) for paragraph (e) substitute—

“(e) who has attained the age of 16 years and to whom paragraph (1A) applies;”; and

(c) after paragraph (e) insert—

“(ea) who has attained the age of 25 years and to whom paragraph (1C) applies;”.
