1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 and shall come into operation at 4.00am on 9th January 2021.
(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations” means the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020(1).
2.—(1) The principal Regulations are amended in accordance with regulations 3 to 7.
(2) In relation to any person who arrived in Northern Ireland on or after 10th July 2020 and before the coming into operation of any amendment made by regulation 5 the principal Regulations apply as if that amendment had not been made.
3. For regulation 3(10) (requirement to provide information), substitute—
“(10) Paragraph (9) does not apply in relation to a person who has arrived in Northern Ireland from any country or territory listed in Schedule 5 or has, within the period beginning with the 14th day before the date of their arrival in Northern Ireland, departed from or transited through any of those countries or territories.”.
4. In regulation 4 (requirement to self-isolate)—
(a)for paragraph (1A) substitute—
“(1A) This regulation also applies where a person (“P”) is residing at an address at which another person (D) is residing, where D is required to self-isolate under these Regulations because D has arrived in Northern Ireland from any country or territory listed in Schedule 5 or has, within the period beginning with the 14th day before the date of D’s arrival in Northern Ireland, departed from or transited through any of those countries or territories.”;
(b)for paragraph (13) substitute—
“(13) Paragraph (12) does not apply in relation to a person (“D”) who has, at any time in the period beginning with the 14th day before the date of their arrival in Northern Ireland, departed from or transited through any country or territory listed in Schedule 5.”.
5. In Schedule 3 (Exempt countries, territories and parts of countries or territories), omit “Botswana”, “Israel”, “Jerusalem”, “Mauritius” and “Seychelles”.
6. In Schedule 4 (Specified competitions), omit the following entries—
(i)“ATP Tour Finals tennis”
(ii)“Matchroom – Partypoker Mosconi Cup Pool Tournament”
(iii)“World Snooker Tour - Northern Ireland Open”
(iv)“World Snooker Tour - UK Championships”
(v)“World Snooker Tour - Scottish Open”
(vi)“World Snooker Tour - World Grand Prix”
(vii)“Professional Darts Corporation – Boylesports World Grand Prix”
(viii)“European Mixed Team Badminton Championships – Group 1 Qualifying Event”
(ix)“Lancashire Chase horse-racing”
(x)“Ladbrokes Trophy meeting horse-racing”
(xi)“Becher Chase horse-racing”
(xii)“The International meeting (Cheltenham) horse-racing”
(xiii)“Long Walk Hurdle horse-racing”
(xiv)“King George VI meeting horse-racing”
(xv)“Coral Welsh Grand National horse-racing”
(xvi)“Cheltenham New Year’s Day meeting horse-racing”
(xvii)“Matchroom – World Championship of Ping Pong”.
7. After Schedule 4 insert—

Mozambique
Namibia
Seychelles

Zimbabwe”.
