These Regulations amend the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 (“the principal Regulations”) to—ensure a person listed in regulation 3(9) of the principal Regulations is not exempt from the requirement to comply with regulation 3 of those regulations if that person has arrived in Northern Ireland from any country or territory listed in Schedule 5 or has, within the period beginning with the 14th day before the date of their arrival in Northern Ireland, departed from or transited through any country or territory listed in Schedule 5;remove exemptions from the requirement to self-isolate for people who have arrived in Northern Ireland from any country or territory listed in Schedule 5 or who have arrived in Northern Ireland from elsewhere and, during the 14 days preceding their arrival in Northern Ireland, have been in or transited through any country or territory listed in Schedule 5; andrequire people residing at the same address as a person who has arrived in Northern Ireland from any country or territory listed in Schedule 5 to self-isolate.
