is a single claimant and—

is entitled to the support component, or

is not entitled to the support component;

is a member of a couple and—

(ii)

is entitled to the support component, or

(2)Severe disability premium—

(a)

where the claimant satisfies the condition in paragraph 6(2)(a);

(a)

where the claimant satisfies the condition in paragraph 6(2)(b)—

(i)

if there is someone in receipt of a carer’s allowance or if the person or any partner satisfies that condition only by virtue of paragraph 6(5),

(i)

if no-one is in receipt of such an allowance.

a member of a couple or a polygamous marriage,

in respect of whom the condition specified in paragraph 7 is satisfied;

£24∙60 where the claimant is a member of a couple or a polygamous marriage and the condition specified in paragraph 7 is satisfied in respect of a member of that couple or polygamous marriage.
