In regulation 146 (amount of grant)15—

for paragraph (2) substitute—

The amount of grant under this regulation in respect of an academic year—
a
for expenditure other than travel expenditure, must not exceed £25,000;
b
for travel expenditure, must not exceed the additional expenditure incurred.

in paragraph (3), for sub-paragraph (c), substitute—

travel expenditure.

in paragraph (4) omit “, except where the allowance is used for expenditure on major items of specialist equipment as provided for in paragraph (3)(b)”;

in paragraph (5) for the words “in respect of” to the end substitute—
in respect of—

the quarter in which the relevant event occurs, and

if relevant, such quarters as begin after the relevant event occurs.
