1. These Regulations may be cited as the Taxi Licensing (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2023 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2023.

2. In the Taxi Licensing Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015(4) for Schedule 1 substitute—

These Regulations amend Schedule 1 to the Taxi Licensing Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 to increase fees payable as follows—
(1) Application for a taxi licence fee increased from £138.50 to £147.00; and
(2) Further application for a taxi licence within 21 days increased from £19.50 to £29.50.

Formerly the Department for Regional Development; see section 1(6) and (11) of, and Schedule 1 to, the Departments Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 (2016 c. 5 (N.I.)). Pursuant to section 1(9) of that Act, the Department of the Environment was dissolved.
