The Taxi Licensing (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2023

The Department for Infrastructure(1) makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 13(5), 30(1) and 56(1) of the Taxis Act (Northern Ireland) 2008(2) and now vested in it(3).

Citation and commencementN.I.

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Taxi Licensing (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2023 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2023.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

These Regulations amend Schedule 1 to the Taxi Licensing Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 to increase fees payable as follows—

(1) Application for a taxi licence fee increased from £138.50 to £147.00; and

(2) Further application for a taxi licence within 21 days increased from £19.50 to £29.50.
