Universal Credit Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016 N.I.

24.—(1) The Universal Credit Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016(1) are amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) to (4).

(2) In regulation 2 (interpretation), in paragraph 1, in the appropriate place insert—

““statutory parental bereavement pay” means statutory parental bereavement pay payable in accordance with Part 12ZD of the Contributions and Benefits Act;”.

(3) In regulation 33 (the work condition), in paragraph (2)(b) after “statutory shared parental pay” insert “, statutory parental bereavement pay”.

(4) In regulation 55 (employed earnings), in paragraph (4)—

(a) in sub-paragraph (d) omit “and”;

(b) in sub-paragraph (e) for “.” substitute “; and”; and

(c) after sub-paragraph (e), insert —

“(f) statutory parental bereavement pay.”.
