The Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 is amended as follows.

In Part 1 of Schedule 2—
a
in paragraph 2—
i
in sub-paragraphs (1) and (2) for “cattle”, in each place it occurs, substitute “susceptible animals”
;
ii
in sub-paragraph (3) for “head of cattle”, in each place it occurs, substitute “susceptible animal”
;
iii
after sub-paragraph (3) insert—

In this paragraph, “susceptible animal” means animal of the genus Ovis, Capra, Gazella, Bison, Bos or Bubalus, or of the species Syncerus cafer.

in paragraph 8—
i
the existing text becomes sub-paragraph (1);
ii
in that sub-paragraph for “horse”, in each place it occurs, substitute “susceptible animal”
;
iii
in that sub-paragraph for “horses” substitute “susceptible animals”
;
iv
after that sub-paragraph insert—

In this paragraph, “susceptible animal” means animal of the family Equidae or Camelidae,or of the genus Capra.
