The Social Security (State Pension Age Claimants: Closure of Tax Credits) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2024 No. 119

Amendments regarding the deferral of State Pension N.I.

6.—(1) In regulation 4(1) of the Social Security (Widow’s Benefit and Retirement Pensions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1979(1) (days to be treated as days of increment) at the end of sub-paragraph (b)(v)(2) for “and” substitute—

“or

(vi) universal credit; and”.

(2) In regulation 3(1) of the Social Security (Deferral of Retirement Pensions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005(3) (amount of retirement pension not included in the calculation of the lump sum) after sub-paragraph (a)(v)(4) insert—

“(vi) universal credit under Part 2 of the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015;”.
