The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 4 of schedule 1 to the National Parks (Scotland) Act 2000(1).
In accordance with section 34(5) of that Act, a draft of this Order has been laid before and approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament.
1. This Order may be cited as the Cairngorms National Park Elections (Scotland) Amendment Order 2010 and comes into force on 2nd October 2010.
2.—(1) The Cairngorms National Park Elections (Scotland) Order 2003(2) is amended in accordance with paragraph (2).
(2) In the Schedule (Electoral Wards)—
(a)in paragraph 1 for the second column (Area) substitute—

This Order amends the Cairngorms National Park Elections (Scotland) Order 2003 (“the 2003 Order”).
Article 2 of this Order amends the Schedule to the 2003 Order by inserting a new description of the area for Electoral Ward 1 and by amending the description of the area for Electoral Ward 5 with the effect that the area added to the National Park as a result of the extension of its boundary into Perth and Kinross is comprised within those Electoral Wards. Minor changes are also made to the description of the unchanged area for Electoral Wards 2 and 4. The map annexed to and forming part of this Note gives a general guide to the new extended areas of Electoral Wards 1 and 5.
