REHABILITATION OF OFFENDERS

This Order consolidates the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2003 which excludes and makes exceptions to the provisions of section 4 (effect of rehabilitation) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (“the Act”). It excludes further proceedings and types of work from certain provisions within that section and updates the terms used to reflect recent legislation, including the Legal Services (Scotland) Act 2010 and the Electronic Money Regulations 2011. This Order also makes provision for alternatives to prosecution.
