Citation, commencement and extent1.

This Order may be cited as the Gaming Act (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 26th March 2001.

The Gaming Act (Variation of Fees) Order 1998, in so far as it specifies fees under subsections (3)(a) to (c) and (4) of section 48 of the Gaming Act 1968, is hereby revoked.

This Order increases the fees to be charged in relation to the grant, renewal and transfer of gaming licences in Scotland under the Gaming Act 1968 as specified in the Schedule to the Order. The fees are increased by approximately 8.5 per cent.
