Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers, having received an application from the City of Glasgow Council under paragraphs 1(1)(d) and 2(1)(c) of Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 19911 and having consulted the Chief Constable of Strathclyde Police in accordance with paragraphs 1(3) and 2(3) of that Schedule, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraphs 1(1), 2(1) and 3(3) of Schedule 3 to the said Act and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Glasgow) Designation Amendment Order 2002 and shall come into force on 17th May 2002.
Amendment to the 1999 Order2.
Paragraph 1(3) of Schedule 2 of the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Glasgow) Designation Order 19992 shall be omitted and there shall be substituted:
“In subsection (2)–
(a)
the words “For the purposes of this Part of this Act”; and
(b)
paragraphs (a)(i), (b) and (c) shall be omitted.”

This Order amends the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Glasgow) Designation Order 1999 by making a further modification to the provisions of the Road Traffic Act 1991. The effect of the modification is to make further provision with regard to when a penalty charge is payable.
