Whereas a draft of the following Order was laid before, and approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 3(2)(b) of the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman Act 20021 and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman Act 2002 (Amendment) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 23rd October 2002.

Amendment of the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman Act 20022

Part 2 of Schedule 2 to The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman Act 2002 (Listed Authorities, Entries Amendable by Order in Council) is amended by omitting the entry in relation to Traffic Commissioner for the Scottish Traffic Area (numbered 86).

This Order amends Part 2 of Schedule 2 to the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman Act 2002 (2002 asp 11). Schedule 2 specifies persons liable to investigation by the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman. The Order removes from the list of persons specified for this purpose the Traffic Commissioner for the Scottish Traffic Area.
