Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 M1 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:
Citation, commencement and extent1

These Regulations may be cited as the Pig Carcase (Grading) Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 5th July 2004.

These Regulations extend to Scotland only.
Amendment of the Pig Carcase (Grading) Regulations 19942
In regulation 2(1) of the Pig Carcase (Grading) Regulations 1994 M2 substitute for the definition of “the Commission Decision” the following–
“the Commission Decision” means Commission Decision 2004/370/ECM3 authorising methods for grading pig carcases in the United Kingdom pursuant to Regulation (EEC) 3220/84 determining the Community scale for grading pig carcases M4;
Revocation3
The Pig Carcase (Grading) Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2003 M5 are hereby revoked.
1972 c. 68; section 2(2) was amended by the Scotland Act 1998 (c. 46), Schedule 8, paragraph 15(3). The function conferred upon the Ministers of the Crown under section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972, insofar as within devolved competence, was transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of section 53 of the Scotland Act 1998.
