NATURE CONSERVATION

The Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2004

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 59(2) of the Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004(1), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2004.

Commencement

2.  The appointed day for the coming into force of all of the provisions of the Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004, except for section 22 (S.S.S.I. register), is 29th November 2004, so far as they are not already in force.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings the remaining provisions of the Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004 (“the Act”), except for section 22 (S.S.S.I. register), into force on 29th November 2004.

The Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act (Commencement) Order 2004 (S.S.I. 2004/407) provides for commencement of sections 15(2), 50, 51 and 54 of, and schedule 6 to, the Act on 1st October 2004.
