LAND REFORM

The Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2005

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 100(3) and (4) of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003(1) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2005.

Appointed day

2.  The appointed day for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 is 9th February 2005:–

(a)Part 1 (access rights) so far as not already in force; and

(b)section 99 (amendments, repeals and savings) and schedule 2, so far as not already in force.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order appoints 9th February 2005 as the date for the coming into force of the remaining provisions of Part 1 of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 (“the Act”), and the consequential amendments in schedule 2 to the Act which relate to that Part. This will bring fully into force the provisions of the Act on access rights.
