This Order, which extends to Scotland only, amends the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 by substituting Schedules 1 and 2 to that Order (article 2). Schedule 1 lists disinfectants approved by the Scottish Ministers and Schedule 2 lists disinfectants which, although no longer approved, may continue to be used as approved disinfectants until 20th February 2006.

This Order was notified in draft to the European Commission in accordance with Directive 98/34/EC, as amended by Directive 98/48/EC.
