The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 87(1) of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001(1) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Scottish Homes (Dissolution) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 31st December 2005.
2. “Scottish Homes” means the body corporate established by section 1 of the Housing (Scotland) 1989 Act(2).
3. The date specified for the dissolution of Scottish Homes is 31st December 2005.

This Order specifies the date for the dissolution of Scottish Homes (which was established as a body corporate by section 1 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988).
All functions of Scottish Homes were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by section 84 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001. All property and liabilities of Scottish Homes were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by–
(a)the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 (Transfer of Scottish Homes Property etc.) Order 2001 (S.S.I. 2001/396);
(b)the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 (Transfer of Scottish Homes Property and Liabilities) Order 2003 (S.S.I. 2003/532); and
(c)the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 (Transfer of Scottish Homes Property and Liabilities) Order 2005 (S.S.I. 2005/439).
1988 c. 43. Section 1 was repealed in part, and amended, by the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001, schedule 10, paragraph 14, subject to transitional and savings provisions in terms of S.S.I. 2001/397.
