The Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2007

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 18 of the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 1995(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2007 and shall come into force on 2nd July 2007.

Amendment of Designation of Sports Grounds and Sporting Events

2.  The Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Order 2004(2) is amended as follows–

(a)in article 2 omit paragraph (c);

(b)in Part I of Schedule 1–

(i)omit the entry for Bayview Stadium;

(ii)after the entry for Mosset Park insert–

New Bayview ParkMethil; and

(c)in Schedule 2 omit Part II.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Sports Grounds and Sporting Events (Designation) (Scotland) Order 2004 by removing from designation Senior Men’s International Rugby Union Matches played at Murrayfield Stadium and Hampden Park for the purposes of Part II of the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 1995 and changing the name of the sports ground at Methil from Bayview Stadium to New Bayview Park.
