Appearances at inquiry12

The persons entitled to appear at an inquiry are–

a

the applicant;

b

any statutory objector; and

c

any other person who has served a statement of case under rule 7.

Nothing in paragraph (1) shall prevent the reporter from permitting any other person to appear at an inquiry, and such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld.

Any person entitled or permitted to appear may do so on that person’s own behalf or be represented by counsel, a solicitor or any other person.

Where there are two or more persons having a similar interest in the matter under inquiry, the reporter may allow one or more persons to appear on behalf of some or all of any persons so interested.
