The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 102(4)(c), 108(7)(c), 110(3) and 147(1) of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 20051 and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:

These Regulations may be cited as the Sale of Alcohol to Children and Young Persons (Scotland) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force F1at 5.00 a.m. on 1st September 2009.

In these Regulations, “the Act” means the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005.

F2The documents and descriptions of documents specified in paragraph (2) are prescribed for the purposes of–
a
paragraph (c) of section 102(4) of the Act; and
b
paragraph (c) of section 108(7) of the Act.
Form and dimensions of noticeI33
The notice required by section 110 of the Act to be displayed in premises must be–
a
in the form set out in the Schedule; and
b
of A4 size or larger.

This notice is displayed in accordance with the provisions of section 110 of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005
It is an offence for a person under the age of 18 to buy or attempt to buy alcohol on these premises.
It is also an offence for any other person to buy or attempt to buy alcohol on these premises for a person under the age of 18.
Where there is doubt as to whether a person attempting to buy alcohol on these premises is aged 18 or over, alcohol will not be sold to the person except on production of evidence showing the person to be 18 or over.
