The Scottish Commission for Human Rights Act 2006 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2008

Accordingly, Her Majesty is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows.
Citation1.
This Order may be cited as the Scottish Commission for Human Rights Act 2006 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2008.
Appointed Day2.
1st April 2008 is the appointed day for the coming into force, in so far as not already in force, of the provisions of the Scottish Commission for Human Rights Act 2006.
This Order brings into force on 1st April 2008 the remaining provisions of the Scottish Commission for Human Rights Act 2006 (“the Act”). This is the second Commencement Order. From 1st April 2008 the Act will be in force for all purposes.
The previous Commencement Order (S.S.I. 2007/448) commenced section 1 of the Act so far as relating to paragraphs 1 to 15 of schedule 1 which made general provision about the Scottish Commission for Human Rights, as well as commencing those specific paragraphs of schedule 1. It also brought into force section 7 of the Act which provides for the laying of a strategic plan before the Scottish Parliament
