EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order appoints 8th January 2010 as the day on which paragraph 1 of the schedule to the Health Boards (Membership and Elections) (Scotland) Act 2009 (“the Act”) comes into force.
Paragraph 1 of the schedule to the Act amends paragraph 4 of Schedule 1 to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 and adds such members of committees and sub-committees of Health Boards as may be prescribed to the categories of persons who the Scottish Ministers may pay remuneration to.
