Amendment to option 27 (control of invasive non-native species)

26.  In option 27 (control of invasive non-native species), in column 2, in paragraph (8) for sub-paragraphs (ii) and (ii) (where it occurs a second time) substitute—

(ii)mechanised control – these methods may include the use of flails fitted on machinery and/or herbicide treatment on re-growth. A second application of herbicide must be applied when required; or

(iii)chemical control of standing Rhododendron – this may include the use of stem injection or foliar application of herbicide to kill off established Rhododendron bushes. Follow-up applications of herbicides or hand pulling of seedlings must be undertaken to ensure there are no successful seedlings or sprouting bushes on site..
