3. In regulation 2 (interpretation)(1)—
(a)in paragraph (1), for the definition of “the Wild Birds Directive” substitute—
““the Wild Birds Directive” means Directive 2009/147/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the conservation of wild birds(2), as amended from time to time;”, and
(b)after paragraph (2), insert—
“(2ZA) Unless the context otherwise requires, expressions used in the Wild Birds Directive and in these Regulations have the same meaning as in that Directive.”.
Regulation 2 was relevantly amended by S.I. 2007/1843 and S.S.I. 2004/475 and 2007/80 and 570.
