For the purposes of paragraph 1 an applicant is entitled to main phase employment and support allowance if—
a
paragraph F118 (components) is satisfied in relation to the applicant; or
b
the applicant is entitled to a converted employment and support allowance F2, or would be entitled but for the application of section 1A of the Welfare Reform Act (duration of contributory allowance).
