SCHEDULELENGTHS OF THE RELEVANT ROAD ON WHICH A VARIABLE SPEED LIMIT MAY BE APPLIED

This schedule has no associated Policy Notes

1.  The southbound carriageway, from the point where it crosses Humbie Rail Bridge at Kirkliston to a point 250 metres or thereby south of the point where the southbound off-slip diverges from that carriageway at Junction 1a.

2.  The southbound off-slip at Junction 1a.

3.  The on-slip from the southbound M9/A9 at Junction 1a.

4.  The northbound carriageway, from a point 450 metres or thereby south of the point where the on-slip from the southbound M9/A9 merges with that carriageway at Junction 1a to the point where that carriageway crosses Humbie Rail Bridge at Kirkliston.

5.  In this Schedule—

(a)a junction followed by a number is a reference to the junction of the M9 of that number.

(b)“M9/A9” means the road known as the M9/A9 Edinburgh–Stirling–Thurso Trunk Road;

(c)“off-slip” means a slip road intended for the use of traffic exiting the relevant road;

(d)“on-slip” means a slip road intended for the use of traffic entering the relevant road.
