The Scottish marine region for the Shetland Isles

9.—(1) That part of the Scottish marine area, the boundaries of which are identified in paragraphs (2) and (3), is designated as a Scottish marine region to be known as ‘the Scottish marine region for the Shetland Isles’.

(2) It is bounded to the south west by—

(a)firstly, a line of shortest distance between the seaward limit of the Scottish marine area and the co-ordinate 59°24′42″ north latitude, 01°59′19″ west longitude;

(b)secondly, a line between the co-ordinates 59°24′42″ north latitude, 01°59′19″ west longitude and 59°29′21″ north latitude, 02°02′15″ west longitude; and

(c)thirdly, a line of shortest distance between the co-ordinate 59°29′21″ north latitude, 02°02′15″ west longitude and the seaward limit of the Scottish marine area.

(3) It is bounded to the west, north, east and south by the seaward limit of the Scottish marine area between—

(a)the point it meets the line described in paragraph (2)(c); and

(b)the point it meets the line described in paragraph (2)(a).
