The Community Justice Outcomes Improvement Plan and Performance Report (Scotland) Regulations 2016

Coming into force

The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 19(1) and 23(1)(a) of the Community Justice (Scotland) Act 20161 and all other powers enabling them to do so.

Citation, commencement and interpretation1

These Regulations may be cited as the Community Justice Outcomes Improvement Plan and Performance Report (Scotland) Regulations 2016 and come into force on 19th November 2016.

In these Regulations “the Act” means the Community Justice (Scotland) Act 2016.

Community justice outcomes improvement plans2

The plan prepared under section 19 of the Act (community justice outcomes improvement plan) is to be published by 31st March 2017.

Reports on performance3

The specified period for the purposes of section 23(1)(a) of the Act (reports on performance in relation to community justice outcomes) is the period beginning on 1st April 2017 and ending on 31st March 2018.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations make provision in relation to the Community Justice (Scotland) Act 2016 (“the Act”).

Regulation 2 provides that the community justice outcomes improvement plan prepared by the community justice partners for the area of each local authority under section 19 of the Act is to be published by 31st March 2017.

Regulation 3 provides that the specified period for the first report on performance in relation to community justice outcomes which is to be prepared by the community justice partners for the area of each local authority is 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2018.
