The Fishery Products (Official Controls Charges) (EU Exit) (Scotland) (Amendment) Regulations 2019
In accordance with paragraph 1(6) of schedule 7 of that Act, a draft of this instrument has been laid before and approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament.
There has been consultation as required by Article 9 of Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matters of food safety.
Citation and commencement1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Fishery Products (Official Controls Charges) (EU Exit) (Scotland) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and come into force on exit day.

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 1(1) and (3) of schedule 2 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c.16) in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union.
These Regulations make amendments to the Fishery Products (Official Controls Charges) (Scotland) Regulations 2007 (S.S.I. 2007/537).
