Coming into force
The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 11 and 16(2) of the Local Governance (Scotland) Act 20041 and all other powers enabling them to do so.
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004 (Remuneration) Amendment Regulations 2019 and come into force on 1 April 2019.
Amendment of the Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004 (Remuneration) Regulations 20072

The Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004 (Remuneration) Regulations 20072 are amended as follows.

For the table in regulation 6(2) (remuneration of the Leader of the Council) substitute—
(a)
Band A – £29,119,
(b)
Band B – £34,944,
(c)
Band C – £40,765,
(d)
Band D – £52,414.

For the table in regulation 7(2) (remuneration of the Civic Head) substitute—
(a)
Band A – £21,840,
(b)
Band B – £26,208,
(c)
Band C – £30,575,
(d)
Band D – £39,310.

In regulation 10 (councillors’ remuneration) for “£16,994” substitute “£17,470”.

In regulation 12 (joint boards)—
a
in paragraph (8) (payment to conveners) for “£21,245” substitute “£21,840”, and

in paragraph (9) (payment to vice-conveners) for “£20,183” substitute “£20,748”.
