Designated courses for student loans for tuition fees for RUK institutionsI114

A course is designated for the purposes of regulation 12(2) (students eligible for student loans for tuition fees for RUK institutions) if it is—
a
contained in Part 1 of schedule 4,
b
a full-time course or sandwich course,
c
of at least one academic year’s duration, and
d
wholly provided by an educational institution or institutions in the United Kingdom but outside Scotland, maintained or assisted by recurrent grants out of public funds or is provided by such an institution or institutions in conjunction with an institution or institutions outside the United Kingdom.

Where a course of education is not designated under paragraph (1), the Scottish Ministers may determine that the course is designated for the purposes of regulation 12(2) by reference to that particular course of education or to a particular category of courses of education.
