In section 5 of the Church Commissioners Measure 1947 (constitution and functions of Board of Governors), after subsection (4A) insert—
4B
A committee constituted by or under this Measure may itself establish one or more sub-committees and may delegate functions to any sub-committee so established.
4C
A sub-committee established by a committee constituted by or under this Measure may itself delegate functions to the chair or deputy chair of the sub-committee or to an appropriate officer.

In section 6 of that Measure (Assets Committee and Audit and Risk Committee), in subsection (4)—
