This Order makes provision to enable both the Secretary of State and local authorities to authorise another person or that person’s employees to exercise functions in relation to work-focused interviews. It also includes provisions enabling the Secretary of State to authorise others to exercise certain functions in relation to claims for housing benefit and council tax benefit and local authorities to authorise others to exercise certain functions in connection with claims for other benefits.
