Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order continues in force for a further period of twelve months the provisions of Part VII of the Terrorism Act 2000 (which extend to Northern Ireland only) with the exception of the following provisions:

(a)section 100, which has not been brought into force;

(b)section 76, which ceased to have effect by virtue of the Terrorism Act 2000 (Cessation of Effect of Section 76) Order 2002 (S.I. 2002/2141);

(c)section 97(1) and (2), which ceased to have effect by virtue of the Terrorism Act 2000 (Continuance of Part VII) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/427);

(d)section 97(3), which shall cease to have effect on 19th February 2004;

(e)paragraph 36 of Schedule 4, which ceased to have effect by virtue of the Terrorism Act 2000 (Continuance of Part VII) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/427);

(f)paragraph 19 to 21 of Schedule 5, which ceased to have effect by virtue of the Terrorism Act 2000 (Continuance of Part VII) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/427).

The provisions continued in force by this Order will continue in force up to and including 18th February 2005.
